World’s Tallest Skyscraper Hits Major New Construction Milestone

Jeddah Tower reached another major construction milestone this week, reaching a height of 454 meters (around 1,489 feet) at 113 floors. Newsweek spoke with AS+GG Partner Bob Forest about this achievement and upcoming goals, including hitting the 500-meter (around 1,640 feet) mark and surpassing Taipei 101. Forest explained: “This will be a significant milestone as it will mean that there will be only one remaining ‘world’s tallest building’ record holder to surpass.”
